In twenty seasons at the helm of Upper Perkiomen High School Football, Coach Bill Keeny amassed a record of 104-101-7, highlighted by a Bux-Mont League Co-championship in 1963, an outright title in 1966, and runner-up in three other seasons.
Three-time coach of the year, Keeny was named head coach in the first Montgomery County All-Star Game and voted into both the Upper Perkiomen Wall of Fame and the Pennsylvania Football High School Coaches Hall of Fame.
Coach Keeny’s teams were known for their discipline, fundamentals, pride, and innovative coaching methods. He demanded the same dedication in the classroom where he taught for 38 years.
After Upper Perk, Bill went on to coach football at Kutztown University as an assistant for 20 years. And, in his final years of coaching, he helped William Tennent High School to two PIAA playoff appearances.
